GSC Softball Pre-Season Release -- Jan. 29
1/29/2008
For the fourth straight season, the coaches have selected Alabama-Huntsville to win the Gulf South Conference Championship. The Chargers were the clear choice, receiving nine out of a possible 13 championship votes. Taking second was Valdosta State, who received three votes from the coaches. Valdosta State was also chosen to win the East Division, after advancing to the 2007 NCAA Regionals last year. Arkansas-Monticello was tabbed as top dog in the West, picking up five first place votes and 35 points overall after a record setting 2007 season.
